| Pierce, David A. “Dada,” 12, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday (July 23, 2006) at Bayfront Medical Center. He came here in 1996 from his native Valdosta, GA. He was a student at Campbell Park Elementary School. He was an avid X-Game participant and loved skateboarding and biking. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his father, Michael L. Ashford; his mother, Marie Ashford; his step-father, Robert Matthews; his step-mother, Jennifer Swerbensky; three brothers: Dakota and Michael Ashford and Austin Swerbensky; two sisters: Cheyanne and Julie Ashford; maternal grandmother, Shelia Rumph; paternal grandmother, Rose Ashford; all of St. Petersburg; maternal grandfather, Robert Rumph, St. Augustine, FL; and paternal grandfather, Donald Ashford, Homestead, FL.
